Um, actually? She’s probably got that covered with The Sexy Editor. (ahem.)
Favorite holiday romance? I apparently need recommendations. As I look over my bookshelf, I see zero holiday romances. Oh, except Anne L. Parks The Return. It’s at least snowy and sort of around the holidays! I really enjoyed it and it put me in a good mood when it was really hot that winter.
So help an author out. Have a rec for a holiday romance that’s as delightful as The Return?
About The Return:
Eve Carlisle had a singular purpose – sell the rustic house nestled in the Colorado ski resort town.
Tortured by her husband’s betrayal, the beautiful divorcee refused to give her heart to another man. But Jake had been a happy surprise, with his mesmerizing blue eyes, warm smile, strong but gentle nature – as well as being incredibly sexy.
She had convinced herself the relationship with Jake was nothing more than a fling. After all, she had a life in Newport, with society friends and a lucrative career as a family court judge. Still, Jake had a definitive hold over her, and she was finding it hard to think clearly where he was concerned.
The demons of prior failed marriages haunt them both, and threaten to end things just as they are beginning. When Jake tells Eve he is falling in love with her, Eve refuses to believe it can last. Returning to Newport, the hollowness of her existence exposed, she must confront her fears before she loses Jake forever.
It’s another week of the Holiday Countdown here at the One Week in Love site. Are you feeling festive and giddy with all the light and love of the season?
(This might be were I insert a firm “bah humbug.” But that’s only because I had to go to the post office this morning.)
While we want you to download (and love) our free holiday romance, One Week in December, we are also readers who love to cozy up with a sweet/steamy/sexy/hot/romantic/dreamy holiday romance (<– all of these) and want to share our favorites with you.
Today, Audra North shares with us her pick:
“I love that book and I love her.”
About Jenny Holiday’s Saving the CEO:
He’s making a list…and breaking every rule on it
Real estate mogul Jack Winter has rules. Lots of rules. After all, a man doesn’t build an empire without a little discipline. And on page one of the rulebook? Don’t sleep with your employees.Especially when there’s a multimillion dollar real estate deal at stake…
Luckily for Jack, Cassie James isn’t really his employee. She’s a hot bartender who just happens to be the math genius he needs, and if they share a wicked chemistry? Well, that’s just a sexy little perk. So they strike a deal: Cassie helps Jack with the merger. And until the deal goes through at Christmas, they can indulge every impulse they desire.
But the more rules Jack makes, the more he seems to break…
It’s Friday of our first Holiday Countdown week. Thanks for stopping by and learning a little bit about what makes December a special month for the One Week in Love authors.
Today, Audra North reveals her holiday favorite. It’s a dessert that will send you straight to your favorite local specialty bakery…unless you have mad skills in the kitchen.
P.S. It’s called Schwarzwälderkirschtorte in German. And I dare you to say that five times fast after you’ve had a few extra nips of kirsch.
Join us next week for more Holiday Countdown fun!
There’s a reason Alexandra Haughton’s signature saying is “oh my gravy.” It comes as no surprise that this southern gal’s favorite holiday foods include…
Oh yeah. GBC (green bean casserole). Broccoli and rice casserole. Corn casserole. The Haughtons have even been known to serve up mashed potato casserole on the big day.
Don’t worry. The Haughtons have also been known to take long, long walks together.
Tomorrow, Audra serves up a sweet, sweet surprise. Want to end up on the good list? Leave a comment or send us an email to share your holiday food traditions.
In Alexis Anne’s short story, “Marrying Owen,” a week over the holidays will be the test of whether Owen and Alice’s relationship is the stuff of legend, or of grocery store gossip magazines.
And speaking of legend, today Alexis Anne shares with us her holiday foodie favorites….
I can so relate. Can’t you?
Check back tomorrow for a peek at Alexandra Haughton’s holiday table. And on Friday, Audra North divulges her favorite holiday confection–and it’s not donuts.
Happy December! One holiday down, about a bajillion more to go this season.
